Senior Database Administrator (PostgreSQL and MySQL)

Our Investment Bank client is looking for a high calibre to join their regional database team as Senior Database Administrator/ Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide PostgreSQL/MySQL DBA support and troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Ensure database integrity, availability, security, and performance.
• Monitor uptime and performance; recommend optimizations and automation.
• Manage capacity planning, space, backups, recovery, and patching.
• Support environment setup, migration, upgrades, and scripting tasks.
• Handle user management, access control, and operational problem resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotation for morning/weekend support.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years’ DBA experience (3+ with PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Expertise in installation, migration, tuning, backup/recovery, and replication.
• Proficient in Linux, shell scripting (Bash/Perl), and command-line tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills (English; Chinese preferred).
• Familiarity with MS SQL, Oracle, Python, and ITIL principles a plus.
• Experience in financial or regulated industries preferred.
